Deputy Commercial Director – Procurement
Reporting to the COHMT Commercial Director, the purpose of this role is to set the procurement strategy, monitor and improve procurement activity across the two departments.
The role holder will be expected to maintain oversight of all key procurement activity across the departments, intervening where necessary and acting as a senior escalation point for procurement issues. They will also take a hands-on role in setting procurement strategy and ensuring it is implemented effectively and will oversee the departments’ relationship with Crown Commercial Service
As part of the Commercial directorate Senior Management Team (SMT), the DcD will also be involved in setting the strategy of the directorate and will take an active role in ensuring that the directorate delivers its outcomes, leading on strategic improvement initiatives.
