Contract Manager – Transformation
This is a pivotal role in the development of a new organisation formed from the merger of the legacy FCO and DFID Commercial and Procurement Directorates, with significant responsibility for leading the behavioural change required to maximise FCDO’s relationship & operational effectiveness of it’s highest impact contracts. This will require effective stakeholder management at senior levels, and contribute to and work within the Commercial and wider FCDO governance framework processes and procedures.
This role is business critical for FCDO in developing our contract management capability and developing contract management accountability across FCDO. With a total spend approaching £15billion, the effective performance management of the Department’s complex international portfolios is critical to achieving the FCDO strategic objectives and in the effective and efficient use of aid.
This is a top priority area for the Cabinet Office to improve contract management and transparency of contract performance.
In addition, the role will provide instrumental support to FCDO other merger activity, including the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Commercial Risk Management project areas, providing key input to these areas with a view to developing standards appropriate for the FCDO and aligning commercial and contract data and systems. The role is, therefore, critical to FCDO’s Commercial Transformation Programme (CTP) and will underpin the development of policy and process to align both legacy-FCO and legacy-DfID practices with best practice across Government.
