The primary purpose of this role is to lead Defra group Commercial’s Policy and Process Improvement team within the Commercial Operations function and have oversight of all commercial policy and process across Defra group. This will require the post holder to design a single harmonised approach to ways of working and through this raise commercial capability within Defra group Commercial as well as across the department.

This role will come with line management responsibilities for a team of 4, so the ability to support, upskill and develop a team of commercial professionals is a key part of the role.
